Progress Report

Hmm...videos here...cut, paste, and upload there...pictures over...oh hiya guys! Iris here. I've been busting ass since I got home trying to sort through everything I digitally captured this weekend and let me tell you it's a LOT of stuff. I still can't believe this was only three days. But since I'm starting to sound like a broken record with all the "I'm working on it, I'm working on it" comments I've made I thought I'd give you a heads up to some actual progress. If you look over to the right you'll notice a link to our new YouTube account or you can stay right here and watch videos via the video bar. There aren't many there as of yet but as you can guess, I'm working on it. So enjoy what we have for now and check back for more updates.

Excellent job on the videos so far, Iris! I think it should be pointed out that I appreciated the drummer of LCD Soundsystem for wearing teeny-tiny shorts a la Stewart Copeland. Too bad he's not as hot as Stew, though.

Nice job ripping off my multi-media approach to the blogosphere, Iris.

Does your stuff have you speaking? No, didn't think so.

Does anyone other than Gabriel have original ideas anymore? Where are Angelman and Gabriel when you need them? Oh, that's right: reading some liberal rag and jerking off. I almost forgot.

Fuck off JR. I think if anyone's stealing ideas, it'd be you dear. I already was bringing on the multi-media stuff back at WTC. Nice to see that you started a blogger account after ours though.

Regina Spektor and Interpol are up now, btw.

It's called "inspiration", Iris, not that I'd expect you to know anything about it.

Speaking of things that never change, glad to know that you're still bringing the cranky over here at Places Parralel. Phew.

Well, you know, we're just keeping that WTC spirit alive.

The centerfold in this month's issue of LIBERAL TIMES was very... STIMULATING.

As was their pictorial on the hot 100 liberal hotties!

JR said...

Was the centerfold a bunch of frigging crybabies? Or the polar ice caps melting and turning into the tear on a Native American's face?

JR said...

I'm putting the metaphorical smack DOWN with my next podcast. It's ON.

Iris said...

Interesting how yours is "inspiration" and mine is "ripping you off".

Angelman said...

Bring it baby. I have the means to start my own blog. I'd love to see what you have up your high thread count sleeve.

I will have a podcast up tearing yours apart with references and logic. You will be forever discredited amongst all ex-WTC readers. No more will Maise, Iris and Gabriel treat you with respect (well, I guess they never did respect you but...)

JR said...

Iris: yes, that is pretty interesting.

Angelman: I'm retracting my nomination for you to be King of Places Parallel. So there. Put that in your hippie pipe and smoke it.

Angelman said...

Who is a hippie?

I don't do drugs, I work, I work out, I'm well groomed, handsome as fuck - I am the liberal Gordon Gekko.

You on the other hand, are a wolf in sheep's clothing. With your hemp clothing and neo-con viewpoints.

Farenheit J/RR is coming!

JR: Why do you hate democracy?

Angelman said...

Farenheit J/RR of course being my expose on JR...

Bringing the readers of Places Parallel what they count on me for: Hard-hitting journalism.

JR said...

Angelman, I can't tell you how flattered I am that you are making a tribute to me online. I feel just like Trent Reznor!

But get the facts right--I'm no wolf in (hippie's) clothing. I'm the REAL DEAL. An average American who is tired of the histrionics of the liberal elite.

I WORK FOR A NON-PROFIT. MY ONLY REAL JOBS HAVE BEEN IN NON-PROFITS, PRIMARILY IN HUMAN SERVICES OF ALL THINGS.

JR = Bull
Angelman = Bear

JR said...

And abs. We count on you for your abs.

Angelman said...

Liberal Elite? Ha ha!

What liberal elite? I am a common man, hammer in one hand, sickle in the other - just destroying injustice wherever it affects the common man.

The term "liberal elite" is a term invented to create distrust in Americans like Chomsky, Zinn etc who call into question the status quo.

Join me in elightenment, JR - reject your "politics as usual".

I will hold office in this country within 15 years - you better get on board.

JR said...

Bravo, Angelman. You just hit the nail precisely on the head of my issue with what I call the liberal elite (I'll put words in no one else's mouth but my own).

You invite me to join you in "enlightenment"? Who is to say that your view is more enlightened than mine? Or that someone else's view is more enlightened than yours?

On that note, I'll discuss other things, but I'm not going to clutter up Places Parallel with any more of this discussion. Leave it to Fahrenheit J/RR (looking forward to that) or even plain old JR, but it's not fair to the ladies here to derail everything.

Unless, of course, you wanna talk about how great I am in general. And innovative. And all that stuff. That's FINE by me, no matter where it happens.

Angelman said...

Chicken!

I read that and I just hear you agreeing with me.

But you are right - let's let the ladies do their business.

Don't hold your breath on the expose - it's funnier as a little play on words that me actually trying to expand the joke.

JR said...

Angelman, you are such a tease.

JR embalms for a living.
