Rest in Peace, Patrick Swayze...

Hey everyone, sad celebrity news. I'm sure you've all heard it by now, but Patrick Swayze passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. From all accounts, he was a super-nice guy, so let's relive our junior high days and have a Patrick Swayze retrospective, shall we?

(That's the best version I could find of the SNL "Chippendales" skit)

And the tearjerker clip:

Any other favorite Patrick Swayze moments?

No Roadhouse? Come on. Let Dalton have his day in court.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen that movie all the way through, so it didn't come to mind. Links? I also could have included Point Break, and he did a memorable turn in Donnie Darko.

THANK you.

I'm trying to figure out if it was the new Megadeth album or PS' death that finally lured DA out of hiding. I'm going with PS' death (deth?).

And Roadhouse is one of my favorite movies EVER. It's so unflinchingly ridiculous.

Swayze 4eva.

I love Roadhouse too, so over the top. It's Swayze's "Tango and Cash"... but better...

I am really, REALLY drunk. Right now.

And my my new song is super riffy.

I am awesome. It's not cocky if it is true.

I don't have any Patrick Swayze moments. I must be missing the Swayze gene.

Unlike poor Patrick Swayze, Iris and I are not dead. Just overworked. Stay tuned...more lame excuses to come!

Oh God, trent's twitter is back up again but no comments, I can only watch Dr Who style 'behind the settee'. Can trent be the better man and ignore the trolls?? Somehow I don't see him as 'the better man' type person who can ignore this shit.

DAngel - will put Megadeth on my ipod today and listen on the way to work tomorrow.

Sorry Patrick Swayze died, but it made me realise I haven't watched even one of his films for whatever reason. I'm sure I'll get round to watching Dirty Dancing at some point, sure they'll put a retrospective of his films on TV at some point
