Trent's Alternate Career Options #1...

Well, while you all are waiting for Iris and me to get our metaphorical shit together and review the terrific shows we witnessed at Lolla, and since you all are obsessed with Trent Reznor no matter what we intend to discuss, I figured that here might be a good place to discuss the question "What next?".

Sure, Trent talks about making more music and helping to change the way we buy and listen to music and maybe even putting together a "Year Zero" TV series, but we also think he should branch out into other areas while he's at it.

For example, my musical obsession, Trent, should consider a recurring role on my TV obsession, True Blood. How perfect would that be? He's hot enough to join the hotttttest male castmembers of all time, and it would bring him back to his once-adopted home of Louisiana, and people have thought he was a vampire for like 20 years now anyway.

For those of you unlucky enough not to have experienced this HBO serial masterpiece, True Blood follows the adventures of Sookie (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress in a small (but *very* eccentric) town in Louisiana. Vampires have "come out of the coffin" so to speak and have joined society, so there is lots of tension between the town's human and vampire residents. Sookie has a vampire boyfriend, Bill (Stephen Moyer), who has a hilarious Civil War-era accent and is prone to exclaiming, "SUH-kie!" when he's being all paternalistic and condescending like he usually is. She has a couple of other admirers: Sam (Sam Trammell), a shapeshifter who is not only super-hot as a man but turns into a DOG and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), an older, more powerful, volcanically hot Viking vampire who is pretty ruthless and manipulative but in recent episodes is also revealing his more vulnerable emotions. And that's not even getting into the half of it. All I can say is, if you enjoy your horror mixed with Southern gothic melodrama and humor and if you enjoy looking at attractive men, this show is for you. And I think it's right up Trent's alley.

See, wouldn't he fit in just perfectly here? (Although he'd probably have to gain a little weight for the part)

So to Alan Ball, Trent...make this happen! Especially if Trent would be able to say the line, "I'd like to make a withdrawal."

Iris deserves all the credit for the Photoshop. She is a genius!

Gulin, that last episode was so amazing, was it not? Those last scenes with Godric, Sookie and Eric totally had me tearing up. So powerful.

I'm not a huge fan of the Mary Ann subplot because I'm a HUGE Sam fan, and all he's been able to do this season is piss himself in fear of Mary Ann. And all the orgies and bloodshed are starting to get a bit repetitive. Although how much did it rock when Lafayette kicked ass?

And Jason turning into a superhero every time he feels like someone has insulted his sister...God, I love this show.

iris has always been the queen of photoshop.

i cried every single time! and i watched it quite a few times. it's funny how invested i was in godric after just a few episodes and i don't care for mary ann even though she has been around for almost a season.

lafayette is the only reason i'm not skipping through the bon temps storyline. he has the best lines.

ryan kwanten (jason) saying "my sex abilities" with a straight face, that's what i call acting.

So who do you think will ultimately bring down Mary Ann? My guess is that it will be Eric because Sookie is going to be beside herself that Mary Ann is squatting in Gran's house, and Eric will sympathize because he lost Godric, his maker, and Sookie lost Gran, her maker (in a way).

hmm. i wish but i think this is sam and andy's fight to fight. eric already had a really good storyline this season. i wonder what he'll be up to for the rest of it.

i see what you're saying though. it would make sense and i would love every second of it.

i still miss gran. :( she was such a nice lady. complete opposite of hoyt's mom.

Yeah, I think if Sam wants to *finally* man up this season and take down Mary Ann, that would be pretty awesome. Poor guy has been so lonely and terrified all season. Boy, was I ever glad to see Daphne's heart cut out, btw.

I would just like more Eric hotness, stat.

yo, if trent even tries hbo, they will laugh in his face. They have been swamped with trent hating emails & phone calls since April. his ass isn't going anywhere except to get fatter. i guess you missed the hbo emails with contact info. trent is washed up.

No, really, we really are going to write about Lolla and post pics and vids and such. I went camping this weekend, and even though it was totally overcast, my face is now lobster-red. Headache. Ugh.

So what do you think about the Michael Jackson death being a homicide thing?

I'm not sure whether they are implying it was a pre-meditated murder, or just the doctor gave whatever drugs he was ordered to despite knowing they could kill him, because of the money involved.

I think it is sad that money can amount to so much that somebody would forget any professional code of conduct they were supposed to live by.

Honestly, I'd like to believe money would never be so important to me, I would perform the plastic surgery MJ had done as a surgeon, or just give any drugs someone wanted if I were a doctor.

we are waiting with baited breath your review of the chicago show. looking forward to the Reznor cocksucking and the porno queen worship. you know the review sold to fools as music when it's actually man-meat for hire. when will you tire of these plastic soulless engaged robots?

Dude, Anonymous, we are so backlogged with reviews right now, it's going to be a while before we get to the so-called cocksucking that you so eagerly await...even though you hate it.
